Sequoia campers make up our older age division. Within the division, campers are placed in cabins with other campers their age.  Some Sequoias will have spent previous summers with CHM while many others will be first-time campers.  Our welcoming environment ensures first-time campers will quickly become veterans.

Compared to our younger cabins Sequoias are offered a greater number of elective periods.  Activities are also scheduled for each cabin to allow bonding time and unique cabin events.  Sequoias evening program includes later bedtimes and more frequent social events.  Our Sequoia out-of-camp line-up includes a progressive set of offerings with new trips available as campers age.

Afternoons include a wide variety of activities and an opportunity to try something new for one period.  In the spring, parents and campers receive an activity selection form allowing campers to plan their summer experience.

Each week includes the opportunity to participate in a wide array of morning electives.  Campers attend the same electives each day for one week to allow more in-depth skill-building. Electives can include climbing, horse riding, fine arts, culinary arts, model rocketry, and more.

Electives are organized by age group and campers and parents make selections in the spring based on their personal interests and desires. As campers return each summer they have the opportunity to try new activities, as well as further develop skills in past favorites.

Cabin Activities

Cabin and age division activities offer the chance to share some memorable adventures with campers your age. Evening pool parties, the 1000 foot zip line, taking in the water slide, hikes, and more make for exciting times.

Evenings also center around cabin groups. This allows age-appropriate activities and schedules that include later bedtimes for older campers.
